The SAPC-1 power cord contains advanced filtering technology to deliver the cleanest power available to your audio and video equipment. The SAPC-1 uses 12 gauge stranded copper wire in a tough rubber jacket surrounded by Techflex braid. This is effectively a straight wire system, with no series filtering elements to impede current transfer. The filtering elements are housed in an anti-resonant, filled PVC cylinder. The SACDmods Power Philosophy:
The SAPC-1 is the culmination of my research into what works and what doesn't in power filtration. Other commercially available power products use exotic wire surrounded by insulation intended to make the cord look like an anaconda while the internal conductors resemble a garter snake. The SAPC-1 uses simple 12/3 stranded copper conductors packaged in a thick rubber jacket with the extra space stuffed with plastic filler. The SAPC-1 is more like the cord off of a piece of industrial machinery rather than consumer electronics. All the cord really needs to do is carry the requisite current, and the 12 gauge wire used in the SAPC-1 would be capable of carrying 20 Amps. A 12 gauge wire is overkill for even the largest power amplifier, and the SACD players I usually work with would only require 16 gauge conductors to carry the requisite current. With most commercially available power cords, the configuration of the conductors gives some inductance to sap radio frequencies in the wire to ground. Everything else in these cords is cosmetic; Techflex, colorful braided cloth jackets, etc. Cosmetics does nothing to improve the sound of your system. Besides, did you ever consider that the wire feeding your wall outlets is probably 12/3 solid conductor romex, and that the wire going from the pole to your home is probably even aluminum?
Connectors and receptacles are available that sell for upward of $80. For your $80, you can get the equivalent of a hospital grade connector, just plated with silver or rhodium. In the grand scheme of things, this is little more than jewelry because it does nothing to improve the sound. In fact, silver plating is generally used in equipment that transmits radio frequencies, which is the very thing a power cord needs to block. When standard, affordable conductors carry the current just as well, there is no point in plating those conductors in silver. Aside from that, why would a designer want to aid the transmission of high frequencies traveling through the power cord? The SAPC-1 uses U.S. made Marinco hospital grade connectors, not very expensive audiophile connectors that provide no real advantages. The Marinco connectors are quite affordable, and very high quality; that's why I use them.
The SAPC-1 is the only power cord that provides integral filtering to the component it is connected to. Browsing through the audio wishbooks, there is no power cord that compares to the SAPC-1. Most cords are exotic wires, cosmetics, and marketing; the SAPC-1 is not. This cord will make an immediately noticeable improvement, not just a change. The SAPC-1 features a 5 pound in-line filtering element that is just as effective as audiophile power filtering devices selling for $1,000, guaranteed. The SAPC-1 is engineering at work, not voodoo.

United States of America: Return shipping and handling is $15.00 in the continental U.S.A. for cash/check orders, and PayPal shipping is calculated by percentage (5% of mod total). The shipping charge pays for shipping supplies, handling, extra packaging (if necessary), pickup, and the actual shipping costs themselves. I will choose the carrier of my choice unless the customer specifies. Typically, I will use DHL as their ground service is a day faster than UPS. Customers in Alaska and Hawaii need to contact me for a shipping estimate.
Next Day Air, Second Day Air, and Three Day are available at higher shipping rates. If you want these services, then contact me for an estimate. Please include your zip code, package dimensions, weight, and whether your address is residential or commercial.
Canada: Please contact me for a shipping estimate. Average shipping costs are $20.00 by UPS, Canadian customers are responsible for all taxes.
International: International orders are accepted, but a processing fee may apply. Also, international orders are shipped by the carriers above only. Be prepared to pay a lot of shipping if you are outside of North America. Shipping typically by USPS.
